Opportunity

One of the themes I keep seeing everywhere involves active personal engagement in the plans and callings of God for our lives.

There’s a misunderstanding within the body of Christ that once God has promised something, it is vanity and foolishness to pursue it ourselves. “Trying to avoid the Ishmael,” some may say.

The Holy Spirit is our Helper. But do we really expect the Helper to help when we’re sitting on our duff? Helping implies assisting someone already doing something. He empowers the doer. The pursuer. The Elishas who stalk the mantle they desire.

The enemy of fulfillment is passivity.
