Can You Hear Me, God?

Father, I am crying out to you. I may not utter a sound any man can hear, but my heart is desperate for you. I am desperate for the experience I have not yet had. The moment I first experience your presence and your still small voice at the same time. I want the weight of your glory. I want to know you in such a way that sears my heart and curls my toes.

I want you. Really. Truly. I don’t want to play mind games with myself. I want you to talk to me in such a way as to make it clear to my silly little mind.

Be with me. Abide in me. Help me abide in you. Let’s abide together.

  • Joel, those are excellent questions. I'm not going to pretend I have it all figured out. I can share what I've learned thus far.

    1. Strongholds are belief systems in our minds that are based upon lies or half-truths. That being the case, I can shut out what God is saying to me by believing He's not speaking (or by believing all He'd say are things I don't want to hear).

    2. What is the statement I believe about God that hinders me from hearing all the things He's saying to me?

    3. Ask God to pull down and destroy all traces of the strongholds in our minds.

    4. Ask Him every day with sincerity for 30 days and see if you can observe significant changes in your life.

That's where I'm at. I'm just realizing that I'm giving power to things that aren't true. It seems like God has called us to positions of royalty, and we're unable to walk in them because we don't believe what He's said is true.

One of the ways I'm combating that is by searching for and intently listening to people who are walking in the revelation and understanding I want to possess. If faith comes by hearing, then I need to hear it from someone living it. And when I do, it's like power rides upon their words.
  • Exactly what i have also said.

But isn't this the problem of those who have hard time being "simple believers"?

    Is it all about unbelief?

How can i gain belief in God/ trust Him more?
